Named after Charles Babbage, credited with inventing the first mechanical computer, the city is a haven for small tech companies as the cold climate makes for an ideal location to house heat-sensitive computing and manufacturing centers. Large public spaces are enclosed under impressive domes to protect inhabitants against the planet's freezing elements. The Commons, often called the Dome District, serves as the main commercial and social hub in the city, modeled after a modern tech campus with recreational spaces.
