UEE Advocacy

The United Empire of Earth Advocacy (commonly referred to as "The Advocacy") is the UEE's inter-system police force, handling legal enforcement and law enforcement duties across the empire. Headquartered in New York, Earth, Sol system, the Advocacy supersedes local planetary police authority, and its agents are authorized to exercise broad powers in pursuit of crimes across systems. History: • 2523 — Founded when the United Nations of Earth transformed into the United Planets of Earth (UPE). Designed as an inter-system police force under the High Advocate. • Messer Era — During the fascist Messer regime, the Advocacy was corrupted into the Imperator's Secret Police, Intelligence, and Espionage agency. Officials were implicated in high-profile assassinations, apprehension and torture of dissidents, and propaganda operations. • Post-Messer — After the fall of the Imperator, the Advocacy was reconstituted to its original law enforcement purpose. Organization: The Director of the Advocacy reports to the High-Advocate. Current Director: Thomas Carmody. While local systems and planets maintain their own police and security forces, the Advocacy handles crimes that cross planetary and system boundaries, fugitives, and extra-jurisdictional operations (including pursuit into Banu or Xi'an territory). Ranks (highest to lowest): Director → Assistant Director → Deputy Assistant Director → Section Chief (one per system) → Assistant Section Chief → Special Agent-in-Charge → Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge → Supervisory Special Agent → Special Agent Advocacy Agents are well-trained in pursuit and apprehension techniques, equal parts hotshot pilot and thorough investigator. They are greatly feared among the criminal community. Agents typically operate alone but teams can be dispatched for high-profile targets.
