Salvage Guide

Hull scraping is the process of removing the outer hull material from derelict ships to collect Recycled Material Composite (RMC) and Construction Materials (CM).

Equip your salvage ship (Vulture, Reclaimer) and fly to wreck locations. Use the salvage beam to scrape the hull — material is automatically collected into your cargo hold. Sell RMC and CM at commodity terminals for profit.

Beyond hull scraping, you can recover individual ship components from wrecks. These include:

• Power Plants — Often the most valuable recoverable component.
• Shields — High demand, good resale value depending on grade.
• Coolers — Moderate value, commonly available.
• Quantum Drives — Valuable if in good condition.
• Weapons — Variable value based on type and size.

Wrecks come in different sizes, affecting their total yield:

• Small — Fighters, personal ships. Quick to scrape, lower yield. Good for solo Vulture pilots.
• Medium — Multi-crew ships, freighters. Balanced risk/reward.
• Large — Capital-class wrecks. Massive yield but requires time and possibly a Reclaimer.

• Drake Vulture — Solo salvage ship. Affordable, nimble, and great for beginners. Limited cargo capacity (12 SCU).
• Aegis Reclaimer — Industrial salvage platform. Massive cargo capacity, multiple salvage beams, but requires crew for maximum efficiency.
